A plane's autonomous landing system took over and landed the aircraft after the pilot lost all communication with air traffic control at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport in Broomfield on Saturday.

A woman was rescued after falling 30 feet while climbing in Eldorado Canyon State Park on Sunday afternoon.

A male Golden Eagle was released at the National Eagle Center along a ridge in rural Montana, Wisc., about 35 miles SE of Nelson, WI., on Wednesday, March 25, 2009. The eagle was released close to where it was found with its leg caught in a trap by bow hunters in October 2008. The bird was nursed back to health at the University of Minnesota Raptor Center, fitted with a radio transmitter, and now is free.
