Missing Wheat Ridge woman's family relieved remains found

a black bear hangs out in the upper branches of a cottonwood tree about 50 to 60 feet above ground Friday near Taft Avenue and West 50th Street in northwest Loveland. The bear's presence drew a crowd. Clayton Brossart, Colorado Parks and Wildlife district wildlife manager for Loveland, along with volunteers from the division's Bear Aware education program, monitored the animal and answered questions from bystanders. Because the bear does not pose any danger to itself or the public, the wildlife division decided not to tranquilize it and let it climb down on its own.
