Ken Brisco has been a mentor for a year. His newest mentee is Quincy an 8th grader from Aurora. The two have met only three times but already have plans to work out, study and do other activities together. Above: The two visit Martin Luther King Jr. Branch Library at 9901 East 16th Ave. where they looked for specific books for Quincy to read. Aurora got a grant from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention to start a mentoring program for middle and high school youth at highest risk of potential gang involvement.
