Aspen Acres fire forces evacuation of Beulah and surrounding area

The Jacobsens, along with designers Wendy Chuckran and Trina Martinez, used a crescent fireplace hearth to inform the shape of their custom Kauri table, along with the additional seating from Charles Eisen & Associates at the Denver Design District. The finished Kauri wood was so fine that it had to be buffed several times to disguise even minor imperfections. Prehistoric Kauri forests that grew 50,000 years ago are preserved underground on the North Island of New Zealand.
