Before joining the Post in 2023, she wrote about education, local government and the arts at the Ouray County Plaindealer, Boulder Daily Camera and Grand Junction Daily Sentinel. A lifelong Coloradan, Katie grew up in Grand Junction and studied journalism at the University of Northern Colorado.
