Bruce Baskette OBITUARY

Bruce Baskette, age 80 of Denver, CO, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026 returning to his late wife, Freda, having preceded him in death. A Texas transplant, he made Colorado home for 50 years. As an outdoor enthusiast, tennis player, and cyclist, he enjoyed the many parks and trails around the city and is noted to have made major contributions to the Highline Canal Conservancy and the Denver Sidewalk Initiatives. His Red Raider roots as a Class of 1968 graduate of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas ran deep and he continued support for his alma matter throughout life. Bruce worked as a Geophysicist for many different companies and had many dear and life-long friends from these working years that he has held close. He is survived by his children, Stephanie (Dan) and Barry, his grandchildren, Daschel, Micah, Quinn, and Miles. He is dearly missed. Celebration of Life Services will be held at Grace United Methodist Church located at 4905 E Yale Ave, Denver, CO 80222 on Friday July 10th, 2026 at 11:00am with a light luncheon reception to follow at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Highline Canal Conservancy or to the Memorial Gift Fund at Grace UMC.
