Dorothy J. Wade OBITUARY

With deep love and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy J. Wade of Westminster, Colorado, on August 22, 2026 at the age of 90.

Dorothy was born on January 16, 1936, in Sterling, Colorado, to James and Bessie Dilley of Brush, Colorado. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and dear friend to so many.

Dorothy was the loving mother of Steve and Karen and the beloved wife of Lloyd Wade, who preceded her in death in 2020. Her family was the center of her world and she gave them a lifetime of love, memories and traditions.

Dottie retired from Mountain Bell in 1997. She was also proud to serve as President of the Pioneers Club, Columbine Chapter, in 1981 and 1982.

A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home in Thornton, Colorado, on September 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow the service at Dottie’s beautiful home in Westminster, a place where we created so many cherished memories.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dorothy may be made to Denkai Animal Sanctuary.
