James Arthur “Andy” Anderson April 29, 1953 – August 1, 2026 James Arthur “Andy” Anderson passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, following a massive stroke.

The son of Byron and Margaret Anderson, Andy grew up on Steele Street in Denver. He attended St. Philomena’s School, Cathedral, and East High School, graduating in 1971.

Andy was a successful Master Plumber and co-owner of his own plumbing company. Skilled at his craft, he was also a generous mentor to many. But his greatest legacy was the kind of man he was and the way he made people feel.

A true “gentle giant,” Andy was kind, compassionate, funny, and deeply loved. He was a devoted husband, loving father and brother, and treasured friend. He could fix almost anything, loved creating things with his hands, and generously volunteered with local shelters.

Andy loved cooking his famous BBQ chicken, yoga and meditation, and going to the gym with his daughter, April. Whatever he was doing, he brought warmth, humor, and heart.

Andy had a way of making people feel welcome, cared for, and valued. The world was brighter with him in it, and his one-of-a-kind presence and generous heart will be deeply missed.

Andy is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Nancy; his daughter, April; and his sister, Amanda Bellorado of Jackson, Wyoming and stepbrother Bruce Anderson.

A celebration of Andy’s life will be held September 5 from 4:00–8:00 p.m. at Lakewood Grill. Family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, laugh, remember, and celebrate a truly special man.
