James J. Wildemann OBITUARY

Jim passed away peacefully in his home in Golden, Colorado with his wife, Alice, by his side. Jim was the son of Jim Wildemann and Renee Marciano. He was born in Evansville, IN and moved to Kings Park, New York at the age of 3. He was raised in Long Island with 3 sisters, Kate, Denise and Jody (deceased). He worked for the New York phone company and transferred to Colorado at the age of 22. He then started in Oilfield Service Sales, moving to Directional Drilling Sales which eventually transferred him to Lafayette, LA. After the oil bust in 1993, he sold industrial bulk bags and lumber wrap in Innsbrook, MO and Liberty Lake, WA. In 2004, he moved back to Denver as Directional Drilling Sales manager. After retirement he volunteered at the Golden Visitors Center. He was also very active in the Morrison Historic Church where he led the singing for many years. He loved to sing – all kinds- especially country karaoke. Jim was first married to Shari in Golden, CO for 12 years. Then Jim and Alice were married for 36 years – he always said they were on the 50 year plan. They raised foster kids in St. Louis, then raised and adopted their 3 grandsons after the death of their daughter Melody. Jim was a dad to Matt Griswold (Marin), Jess Wainwright (Courtney), Will Wildemann (Jeans), and TJ Wainwright (Katie). He was also a grandfather to Bryn Griswold, Zoe Biresaw (Aaron) and Maya Griswold (deceased). He has 3 great grandsons, Brooks, Bennett and Brayden Wainwright. He was so proud of all of them. Jim had a wonderful sense of humor and wit, never met a stranger and everyone loved to be around him. He loved his family and was a loyal friend. He and Alice had a fun and happy life!
