John Kimpton OBITUARY
Jack Kimpton passed away after a brief illness on June 11th with his family by his side.
Born in 1934 in Livingston, Montana to Rowland and Mildred Kimpton, he grew up on his parent’s cattle ranch near Toston, Montana.
While attending Montana State University in Bozeman, he met the love of his life, Carolyn Stamm. Together they built a life centered on family, travel and volunteering.
He joined Martin Marietta following his army service and spent the next 30 plus years working on aerospace programs in many places across the country.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bill and Albert. Survivors include Carolyn, his wife of 70 years, children Timothy Kimpton (Susan) in Portland, Maine, Daniel Kimpton (Kim) in Denver and Karen Fischer (Tim) in Augusta, Georgia, and granddaughters Emily Kimpton, Dana Kimpton and Haley Fischer.
Services will be held at St. Michael and All Angels’ Episcopal Church in Denver on Friday, July 10 at 11:00 AM., followed by a committal service at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the The Shriners Hospital in Salt Lake City.
