Mary Sue Van Veen OBITUARY
Mary Sue Van Veen OBITUARY
Our beloved Mary Sue passed away after a fight against cancer. Her spirit, determination, and spice drove her fight for five years. Mary Sue was born in Phoenix, Arizona and at the age of one her family moved to Denver, where she grew up and made every place she lived a welcoming home for 65 years. Her life was filled to the brim with family get-togethers, friendship, music, dancing, hearty laughs, travel, and most importantly fierce love. For those she loved, she loved deeply, openly, and generously. Throughout her life she took on various roles: wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and business owner. Everyone who knew her will carry the memories of how she made us feel important, valued, and one big family. Mary Sue is survived by her husband Martin; children Nicki (Pat), Brittany, Ashley, JT (Holly), Aprill (Jeff), and Gregory (Sarah); and her life’s joy, her grandchildren Arieon, Londyn, Jay, Adrian, Louisa, and Dominic. There are not enough words to describe our sorrow at losing her. Though as one of her famous Mary Sue-isms goes, “nothing is all good or all bad.” We were lucky to have loved her and be loved by her.
