James Robert “Bob” Burns Memoriam

Celebrating the Life of James Robert “Bob” Burns January 16, 1950 – August 14, 2026 James Robert “Bob” Burns, age 76, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away peacefully from natural causes on August 14, 2026.

Bob was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on January 16, 1950, to Robert and Doris Burns. He built a successful career as a dedicated restaurateur, most notably making his mark through his work with Western Sizzlin. While Bob was a fantastic cook by trade, his true passions were his family, music, and coin collecting. Nothing brought him more joy than the time he spent with the people he loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, and his wonderful wife of 42 years, Mary Ellen. He is survived by his brother Tim, loving children and grandchildren: Stacy (husband Bill), Bobby (wife Leslie), and Autumn, as well as Brenden, Cameron, Jamie, Caitlyn, Hailie, Hunter, Grant, and Gunnar.

A Celebration of Life will be held by his family on August 30, 2026 at Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Parish, located at 18000 E. Arapahoe Rd., Foxfield, CO 80016.
