Leaders of Colorado’s largest school districts spend tens of thousands of dollars on travel

The expenses show former Cherry Creek Schools Superintendent Christopher Smith isn鈥檛 the only frequent-flying K-12 leader in metro Denver.

Documents obtained by The Denver Post, including pages of emails, calendars, plane tickets, hotel reservations and other documents, shed light on travel by former Cherry Creek Superintendent Christopher Smith and his wife, Brenda Smith, the district's HR director. The documents also spotlight their ties to Education Accelerated, including David Palumbo, the company鈥檚 chairman, and Richard Boerner, the chief innovation officer. Email addresses, phone numbers and other private information has been redacted. (The Denver Post)
