Eating: It’s good for your heart.

You’ve probably heard by now, but you need to go out to eat at least once at some point today.

There are a staggering participating in Project Angel Heart’s , in which all participating restaurants will donate 25% of your tab to this non-profit organization that provides meals to the needy 365 days a year.

This 11th anniversary of the event marks more than a 100% increase in participation, and last year raised $300,000.

Charity is best when it tastes good, and not just for you. You know how they say the best way to man’s heart.

Some might consider Dr. Maya Angelou’s fame undeserved. The Clinton Administration certainly boosted her visibility, but even without her ground-breaking poetic contributions, Dr. Angelou would certainly have busted as many glass ceilings with her contributions to literature, teaching, history and civil-rights activism.

Some people are just cooler than the rest of us.

And you can bask in her coolness this evening to see her speak at Auraria Campus’s King Center tonight.
