Baseball
The Colorado High School Activities Association will release 32-team playoff brackets today for Class 5A and Class 4A.
Eight four-team districts in each class will play Saturday. Two victories will be required to advance to the eight-team, double-elimination brackets. Those rounds will be contested over May 13-14 and 20-21.
In 3A-2A, district rounds will be completed Saturday. Winners advance to regionals May 13-14, then the semifinals and championship May 20-21.
Girls golf
Regionals in 5A will be completed by May 11 and 4A by May 13.
The 5A championship will be played May 16-17 at Fox Hill Country Club in Longmont, with 4A set for May 23-24 at the Cotton Ranch Club in Gypsum.

On the boys side, there will be preliminaries (to be completed by Saturday), round of 16 (May 11), quarterfinals (May 14), semifinals (May 18) and championship (May 20). In girls, it’s round of 16 (Saturday), quarterfinals (May 11), semi- finals (May 14) and title (May 17).
Girls tennis
Qualifiers for the state tournament will be set by Saturday’s completions of regionals.
The state tournament for 5A (Gates Tennis Center) and 4A (City Park in Pueblo) is May 12-14.
Girls soccer
We’ll get the official word on all postseason qualifiers today.
Each of the 5A and 4A classes will have 32 state qualifiers and 16 for 3A, which also will go through a regional round to be completed by Saturday (then a reseeding for the 16 qualifiers).
Ultimately, the championships will be played May 23 (3A) and 24 (5A and 4A).
Track and field
Athletes will complete their league meets and regular-season competition by Saturday.
Regionals for all classes will be conducted May 13-14, followed by the state meets May 20-21 – 5A and 4A at Jefferson County Stadium in Lakewood, 3A and 2A at Dutch Clark Stadium in Pueblo.
