Who: Linda Billbe of Golden

Where: Almost anywhere in the country

Out and about: Sheep are everywhere, but harder to photograph up close than you might think. When we pulled over to take some pictures the whole flock ran to the other side of the pasture. On this occasion, however, while photographing a beautiful, pastoral scene, we noticed this little fellow all by himself. I made a little sheep call and the lamb trotted right up to me. Maybe he was lonely, or just wanted to read the paper.

Travel tip: We visited New Zealand as winter was approaching in Colorado, so it was late spring there. It was a little rainy, but the flowers were beautiful. The temperatures were cool but comfortable. Driving on the left side and learning to negotiate roundabout intersections and narrow roads is part of the challenge.
