HeeB editor to speak: Joshua Neuman, editor of HeeB Magazine, a publication geared toward young people in the Jewish community, will talk at 8 p.m. at Lindsey Auditorium, Strum Hall, on the University of Denver campus, 2000 E. Asbury St.

Judaism in Denver: Colorado Congregation for Humanistic Judaism is having a Shabbat service at 7 p.m. with Phil Goodstein, who will discuss the history of Judaism in Denver, at Aspen Village, second floor, 150 Quebec St., Denver. An Oneg Shabbat will follow the service.

Golden anniversary: Thornton Presbyterian Church, 9200 Hoffman Way, is having its 50th anniversary celebration following the 10 a.m. service. Cost is $10 per person; children under 6 will be admitted free.

Sri Sathya Sai Baba program: The Sri Sathya Sai Organization is sponsoring a free program on the life, work and message of Sri Sathya Sai Baba at 4 p.m. at the Shrine Center, 4625 W. 50th Ave., Denver.

“Opening Oneself to Love”: The Buddhist/Christian Interfaith Community at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1615 Ogden St., is having a meditation and presentation, “Meditation and Prayer: Opening Oneself to Love,” by the Rev. Tom Nelson at 5 p.m.

Chaplain to share 9/11 experience: Chaplain Col. Jacob Goldstein, who was dispatched to ground zero in New York on Sept. 11, 2001, to serve as task force commander, will talk about spirituality and his experiences and images of victory at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Chabad Jewish Center, 5922 E. County Line Road, Highlands Ranch. Cost is $10 per single ticket, $18 per couple.
