Swapping fishing equipment
Considering the old adage that one man’s junk is another’s treasure, Frank Praznik thought it only fitting to stage the inaugural Front Range Fly-Fishing Swap.
His St. Peter’s Fly Shop in Fort Collins will be the clearinghouse for a June 4-5 event at which a wide variety of gear will be offered for sale on consignment. The shop, located at 202 Remington St., will accept 50 consignors on a first-come basis.
“We believe this is a perfect opportunity for people interested in upgrading their equipment, as well as people looking to get into fly-fishing for a reasonable price,” Praznik said.
The sale, modeled after the popular ski swap model, will be conducted from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. each day and will include free fly-tying and casting instruction. Phone 970-498-8968 to participate.
