This pup tent takes on a new, truer meaning
RuffWear, makers of dog gear, believes canines should be protected from the elements, just like people. So they have created the Mutt Hutt, a nylon pet tent that is a smaller version of a full-featured human tent, complete with a rain fly. Available in two sizes, the tent can be pitched in seconds, thanks to a neat structural design that allows the frame to be opened like an umbrella. An innovative twist is the “dog door,” overlapping elasticized front flaps that let the pooch come and go as he pleases. (An outer door can be zipped over the dog door to keep the animal in or out of the tent). Mesh ventilation panels at the top and rear help with air flow, although the tent is meant to be kept in a shady area. It comes with a stuff sack.
