CSU names new assistant coach
Shane Brown was named assistant women’s basketball coach at Colorado State.
Brown guided Houston Baptist to back-to-back NAIA Final Four appearances in 2004 and 2005. He coached five seasons at Houston Baptist, where he had a 166-24 record and won the regular season and conference tournament championships all five seasons. He was named the conference coach of the year following each of the past three seasons.
“Shane Brown is going to be a tremendous asset to our basketball program,” coach Jen Warden said. “He brings experience and success as a head coach to our staff. He has had great success previously as an assistant coach at the Division I level, which provides our program additional recruiting and coaching experience.”
