Campsites remain
Eleven Colorado state parks – including some of the largest and best – have campsites available for the Fourth of July holiday weekend. These include Arkansas Headwaters, Bonny, Crawford, Colorado River Island Acres, Elevenmile, Fruita, John Martin, Rifle Gap, San Luis, State Forest and Vega. Depending upon services offered, campground prices range from $7 to $22 per night.

Water safety
Colorado State Park rangers will work in conjunction with the State Patrol and local law officers to enforce both driving and boating under the influence laws this holiday weekend. In addition, parks officials will begin actively enforcing regulations requiring Arkansas River floaters using inner tubes or similar inflatables to wear personal flotation devices. Citations will be issued to violators.
