Daniel Lanois will not release his new instrumental album, “Belladonna,” in the U.S. until July 12. But it’s already out in his home country of Canada and is receiving rave reviews. “(It) builds its charm by painting a richly textured soundscape that stars Lanois’ ambient pedal-steel guitar in a sun-burnished tale that blends splashes of Bela Fleck, Ry Cooder and David Lynch,” one reviewer wrote. Lanois plays the Fox Theatre on Oct. 14. Tickets are on sale ($20, 303-443-3399).
