Who: Vicki and Jim Duffy of Los Altos, CA and Sharon and Dick Duffy of Golden, CO
Where: Entrance of La Cabana Restaurant in Buenos Aires, Argentina
Out and About: Argentina is a beautiful country, we spent 3 days in Buenos Aires, and it truly is the Paris of South America. Then 6 days in Mendoza & Tunuyan at the foothills of the Andes. Mendoza is the heart of the wine country in Argentina; all of the wineries are open for tours. Trekked around Cerro Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Western Hemisphere and the Monumento Natural Puente del Inca, natural hot springs where the town was ruined by an avalanche several years ago.
Travel Tip: Weather season is the exact opposite of ours, Buenos Aires can be very humid in summer months, and Mendoza’s climate is very much like Denver, and currently the money exchange is very favorable.
