Shauna Ruda graduated from Herzl/RMHA at the Denver Campus for Jewish Education with a 3.39 grade-point average. She took advanced placement classes and competed on the school’s volleyball, basketball and soccer teams.
She has held several leadership positions in Jewish youth organizations, including serving on the regional and international boards of the B’nai Brith Youth Organization, one of only eight young people out of 16,000 worldwide to rise to this level in the organization. She founded a program that raised $35,000 for the Israeli Red Cross.
Shauna spent six to eight hours a week working with disabled children in elementary and middle schools and volunteered with community and nonprofit groups.
Shauna will attend American University in Washington, D.C., this fall, where she plans to study politics and journalism.
