Call Your Mother is plugging a hole in south Denver.

The “Jew-ish” deli will open a new location at 5074 E. Hampden Ave. in the Happy Canyon Shopping Center, according to permits filed with the city. The 1,500-square-foot space used to be home to a Starbucks, which closed in the fall as part of the national chain’s downsizing.

Documents estimate construction will cost $64,000 to line the space with Call Your Mother’s trademark pink, blue and yellow branding.

Itap the third local spot in the works for the Washington, D.C.-based chain, which is also expanding to both Golden and Denver’s Union Station neighborhood at 1607 Wewatta St.

The three pending outposts will bring Call Your Mother’s Colorado store count to 10.
