Is Bruce Springsteen headed for a breakup with longtime record producer Sony?

The New York Post reports Sony CEO Andy Lack is balking at a new deal with the Boss. A source told the Post, Springsteen wants a “$50 million, five-record deal. Andy is wary of paying him so much because his last three albums have not sold tremendously well.”

Fox Searchlight has secured the film rights to slain rapper Notorious B.I.G.’s life, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The biopic will chronicle the meteoric rise of a Brooklyn crack dealer, born Christopher Wallace, who became a hip-hop legend. B.I.G. helped create Sean Combs’ Bad Boy label and propelled stars like Lil’ Kim and wife Faith Evans.

Nelly is the latest hip hop star to hype Reebok’s line of athletic footwear, T-shirts and accessories. The rapper from St. Louis will be featured in Reebok’s “I Am What I Am” advertising campaign before the holiday season. Reebok also has signed Jay-Z and 50 Cent to hawk its wares.

Kanye West boasts he has become the unofficial leader of the hip-hop movement.

Quoted by contactmusic.com, West said “I’m cool with every single rapper, but my style does set me apart. I’m just the most popular. I guess, what does set me apart is that I rap from the perspective of coming down on myself. You never really hear that in rap. Rap is usually about putting everybody else down. I’m self-critical, that’s what sets me apart.”

Less than a third of the money from Clay Aiken’s foundation is helping children with disabilities, MSNBC.com’s Jeannette Walls reported.

A document filed with the IRS revealed the Bubel/Aiken foundation raised more than $1 million last year. Of the expenses, more than $150,000 went for travel, $173,000 for “professional services,” and nearly $150,000 for salaries. The high expenses were blamed on galas held in Los Angeles and Hawaii.

Co-founder Diane Bubel told WRAL-TV in Raleigh , N.C., that the facts have been misrepresented. “We’re volunteering and doing something good, and all we hear is complaining,” Bubel said.

Unable to sell their Beverly Hills mansion, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne may open their home as a tourist attraction, the Sun in London reports.

A source said: “Sharon is desperate to vacate as soon as possible. … She reckons that if the house doesn’t sell in the next month, she and Ozzy will open it as an Osbournes attraction.”
