
Littleton industrial park on its way
CMC Group has started construction of Hilltop Business Center, a 69,000-square-foot industrial park in Littleton. Construction of the four-building park at West County Line Road and Southpark Circle, designed by architecture and planning firm Ware Malcomb, is expected to be completed by December.
Ravenna Golf Club sells out of specialty passes
All 50 of the Founders Club memberships at the new Ravenna Golf Club have been sold ahead of schedule. Founders Club members received a golf club membership, membership on the advisory board, a golf vacation and playing privileges on the Jay Morrish-designed course in Waterton Canyon. The club is part of a 650-acre site being developed by Denver-based MLC Development LLC. The Ravenna project near Chatfield Reservoir will include 243 homesites with access to workout facilities, a spa, day care and a small country market.
Two state firms high on “Best” list
Two Colorado companies were ranked as top developers and brokers in National Real Estate Investor’s annual Best of the Best survey. Aurora-based ProLogis ranks in the top five among owners and developers of industrial properties, and Denver-based Apartment Investment and Management Co. ranked among the top owners and managers of apartments. The survey was sent to 500 companies in April, and rankings were determined based on 2004 data from participating companies.
Mortgage rates hit highest point since mid-April
Mortgage rates continued their upward climb this week, with rates on 30-year mortgages rising to their highest point since the middle of April. In its weekly survey, mortgage giant Freddie Mac reported Thursday that rates on 30-year, fixed-rate mortgages rose to a nationwide average of 5.82 percent, up from 5.77 percent the week before. Below are average mortgage rates in Denver, Adams and Arapahoe counties as of Thursday and the previous 52 weeks. The one-year Treasury bill average reported by the Federal Reserve Bank is 3.77 percent. The Cost of Funds Index for June from the Federal Home Loan Bank (11th District) was 2.676 percent.
