Aurora – Aurora police made another arrest in a July 4, 2004, homicide that they believe is connected to the killing of a witness.

Police arrested Latoya “Tiny” Sailor, 23, of Aurora on Thursday on suspicion of being an accessory to the murder of Gregory Vann, who was killed after a Fourth of July party a year ago at Aurora’s Lowry Park.

Police believe Sailor’s boyfriend, Robert Keith Ray, 19, is the one who pulled the trigger. Charges against Ray were increased last week from being an accomplice to being the triggerman.

Aurora police on Friday didn’t provide information on why they believe Sailor was connected to Vann’s homicide. She also was arrested on suspicion of drug possession.

Authorities are still investigating another killing that they believe is connected to the July 4, 2004, case.

On June 20th, one of the witnesses to Vann’s shooting was shot to death along with his fiancée.

Javad Marshall-Fields and Vivian Wolfe, both 23, were gunned down as they drove on an Aurora street.

Marshall-Fields was the key witness for the prosecution in Ray’s trial, which was to begin June 27. Marshall-Fields had told police he saw Ray drive the getaway car from the Lowry Park homicide scene. That trial has been postponed until November.

Marshall-Fields, who had just graduated from Colorado State University, told his family that he had been threatened by Ray’s colleagues about testifying.

Police have yet to make an arrest in that case.
