Hard to believe that the Summer of 2005 is almost a memory. It goes out with a flourish, though, as evidenced by this flurry of events:

Plans for the eighth Women Against MS Luncheon will be announced at an “appetizers and inspiration” reception that begins at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at McCormick & Schmick’s in the Denver Tech Center. Three biggies – the Colorado Symphony’s season-opening gala starring Johnny Mathis, the High Hopes Tribute Dinner honoring Barbara Davis and featuring Bob Newhart and the American Civil Liberties Union dinner – all take place Oct. 1. Dates to remember in November include the 10th (when Margaret Fomer, Jean Jones and Ran Bellows receive the National Samaritan Award at a dinner benefiting the Samaritan Institute) and the 19th (when Natalie Cole headlines the Heart of Hearts Gala and John O’Hurley of “Seinfeld” and “Dancing with the Stars” entertains at the Adoption Exchange Fantasy Ball).
