Country singer Megan Moroney canceled her Ball Arena concert mid-set Tuesday night “due to illness,” according to the venue. She has since rebooked the performance and will return to Denver on Aug. 27.
The “Tennessee Orange” singer apparently took the stage for three songs before realizing she was too sick to continue performing. A shows her addressing the audience to tell them the show would not go on.
“This is honestly the last thing I ever wanted to do, but I am obviously extremely sick and I thought I did everything to make myself better… but I just can’t play this show tonight,” Moroney says in the video, clearly getting emotional.
She later posted on her Instagram story that canceling was “the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make.” The post went on to say, “I never ever will give you guys a show that is not 100% and by song 3 I knew that I was not capable of giving that to you tonight.”
Moroney is currently touring in support of her newest album “Cloud 9,” which came out in February. Ball Arena confirmed that all tickets purchased for the original show date will be honored for the performance in late August. Those who can’t make the rescheduled date can get a refund.
