Portable media player does it all
You can listen to MP3 tunes, look at photos and watch videos on Zen Vision, a portable media player from Creative Technology. The player’s 3.7-inch screen displays color images with a resolution of 640 by 480 pixels, and its 30-gigabyte hard disk stores as much as 120 hours of video, including TiVoToGo files from a TiVo recorder. It has a built-in FM radio, a voice recorder, an organizer that syncs with Microsoft Outlook and a slot for CompactFlash media cards. Available in white or black, the Zen Vision costs $400.

Audio system reduces MP3 hassle factor
RCA’s Digital Music Studio lets you transfer music from CDs to a portable player without firing up a computer. The studio includes both a portable player with 128 megabytes of storage and a five-disc CD player for listening to and transferring tunes from discs. Just dock the portable player into the top of the unit, insert a CD into the disc player and press record, and music on the CD will be encoded for and transferred to the portable player automatically. The 160-watt system can handle a variety of formats, including MP3 and WMA. It also includes a Secure Digital memory card slot, an AM/FM radio and an alarm clock. The RS2052 model costs $180.

Software converts video to PSP format
A handy new program helps you watch home movies and recorded television shows on your Sony PlayStation Portable. X-oom’s Movies on PSP uses your Windows computer to convert DVDs and digital video files into a format that you can watch on the PSP’s wide-screen display. You can save the converted video on a personal computer or Sony Memory Stick and transfer it to a PlayStation Portable via a USB port.
