Jeffco foothills will be hoppin’

The foothills in Jefferson County come alive this weekend with two events – the 39th annual Evergreen Arts Festival and Conifair.

Dozens of local and national artists will showcase their work at the fine-arts festival at Heritage Grove Park at the Hiwan Homestead east of downtown Evergreen.

The festival, sponsored by the Evergreen Artists’ Association, runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. There also will be food and music.

In the neighboring community of Conifer, local songstress Lannie Garrett headlines live music on two stages at Conifair, to be held at Beaver Ranch on Foxton Road, just south of U.S. 285.

The free event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, also includes more than 100 vendors, food and beverages.
