Getting your player ready...
After months of inaction, the Nuggets’ roster finally has some body to it. The team has agreed to sign a trio of guards – Memphis free agent Earl Watson and a pair of incumbents, Greg Buckner and DerMarr Johnson.
Watson, who receives a multi-year deal, was hotly pursued around the league this summer, though the Nuggets were rarely mentioned near his name, since they were more in the market for a shooting guard than a point guard.
Now the team boasts three rotation point men, with returnees Andre Miller and Earl Boykins still in the fold.
Buckner has long talked of returning to Denver for a second season. The defensive specialist is one of coach George Karl’s favorites.
