Pregame ritual: I’m superstitious. I tape my pinkie finger before a football game and make sure I get all stretched out.

The Denver Post recognizes a female and male student-athlete of the week. At the end of the school year, 10 finalists will be chosen. Ultimately, The Post and The Denver Athletic Club will select one boy and one girl as student-athletes of the year, and a substantial donation will be made to a local charity in their names.
