Sophomore tight end Mike Krogh and sophomore halfback Jim Ollis remained questionable for Air Force’s home and Mountain West Conference opener Saturday against San Diego State at Falcon Stadium.

Both were injured in Air Force’s 20-17 victory Saturday over Washington at Seattle’s Qwest Field. Krogh suffered a mild concussion and Ollis, who had moved from quarterback to halfback during preseason practice, suffered a bruised lower leg. Center Jon Wilson came out of the game with a bruised shoulder, but he returned to the field and is probable for the conference opener.

Coach Fisher DeBerry surprised Washington and most everyone else by using two quarterbacks in the game, bringing in backup Adam Fitch to replace Shaun Carney in each half. Each engineered a touchdown drive in the fourth quarter to bring the Falcons from an 11-point deficit to the season’s opening victory.

“We’ll make a decision depending on the game,” DeBerry said when asked if he will use the change of pace in Air Force’s remaining schedule.

The Aztecs have beaten Air Force the past three times they have played, but are 0-1 after losing 44-21 on Saturday to UCLA.
