ON SALE HOT TIX
Liz Phair is winding down her summer acoustic tour but will be back on the road with a band in October in support of her new studio album, “Somebody’s Miracle.” It’s due Oct. 4. She appears Oct. 29 at the Gothic Theatre.
Tickets go on sale Saturday ($16-$18, TicketWeb).
Drew Carey is about to launch a 40-city tour along with the Improv All-Stars, some of whom are cast members from Carey’s two TV shows, “The Drew Carey Show” and “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” They are also on “Drew Carey’s Green Screen Show,” which returns to the WB network in October. Carey brings the group to the Lecture Hall at the Colorado Convention Center on Oct. 28. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday ($39.50-$59.50, Ticketmaster).
Rodney Crowell long has been one of country music’s best and most introspective songwriters. His record sales until recently never matched his talent, although a city full of other singers has ridden his songs to the top of the country charts. Crowell and his band the Outsiders play the Gothic Theatre on Nov. 11. Will Kimbrough and Jedd Hughes open. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday ($20, Ticketmaster).
Jamiroquai has a new album, “Dynamite,” coming out Sept. 20, so a tour can’t be far behind. The British group heads to Denver for a Nov. 1 show at the Fillmore Auditorium. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday ($44.50, Ticketmaster).
Rob Thomas, matchbox twenty frontman, plans a two-month fall tour to support “Something to Be,” his solo album. (Given that the album has already gone multiplatinum, it’s an open question how much support the album needs.) Thomas performs at the Lecture Hall at the Colorado Convention Center on Nov. 1. Antigone Rising opens. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday ($38.50- $48.50, Ticketmaster).
