Idahoan paces Colorado Senior Open

Scott Masingill of Payette, Idaho, shot a 4-under-par 68 to lead after Wednesday’s first round of the Colorado Senior Open at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club.

Masingill leads the three-round tournament and a field of 137, including Mike Zaremba of Pueblo West and Dean Overturf of Dallas, who are tied for second at 69.

Roadrunners top Rangers in RMAC soccer

Metro State, behind two goals apiece from Mark Cromie and Shaun Elbaum, downed Regis 5-2 at Auraria Field in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference opener for both teams. Metro State played the second half short-handed after Aldo Alcaraz-Reza was given two yellow cards near the end of the first. Zack Cousins also scored for Metro; Josh Davids and Sven Trautmann scored for the Rangers.
