The Broncos got better news today than they expected concerning the health of left cornerback Champ Bailey and tailback Mike Anderson.
An MRI showed Bailey has a dislocated shoulder, not a separated shoulder as was first thought. Shanahan said Bailey could miss up to two weeks but there’s an outside chance he could play Sunday against San Diego at Invesco Field at Mile High.
Bailey, who never has missed an NFL game, was hurt on the first play from scrimmage in the second half of the Broncos 34-10 loss at Miami on Sunday.
Anderson, Shanahan said, has a rib injury and his availability against the Chargers will depend on his tolerance for pain. Anderson left in the first quarter and did not return.
