The Royal Gorge Route Railroad announced Thursday it has purchased three historic full-length observation-dome cars from Holland America Line Inc. The cars will be used on its scenic train line, which traverses the Royal Gorge near Cañon City.

ProLogis, an Aurora-based provider of distribution facilities and services, on Thursday said it closed on its merger with Catellus Development Corp. Prologis acquired the company for approximately $5.5 billion, including assumed liabilities and transaction costs.

UQM Technologies Inc., a Frederick-based developer of alternative-energy technologies, announced Thursday that it received the 2005 IQ Award in transportation for its hybrid electric-starter/motor/generator product. Jefferson County Planning and Zoning on Thursday said it will offer a CD that contains comprehensive information on planning and zoning in the county. The CD also includes residential building guides, current building-code information and storm-water management.

Western Gas Resources Inc., a Denver-based energy provider, on Thursday increased its dividend to 30 cents per share, beginning in the fourth quarter.

Bellco Credit Union of Denver presented a $25,000 check to Mount Saint Vincent, a residential and day treatment facility for children with severe emotional and behavioral problems. This marks the third year that Bellco has contributed to Mount Saint Vincent, bringing the total amount donated to $70,000.
