Lacrosse group to benefit hurricane relief

National Development Program Lacrosse will include Colorado as part of its series of tournaments, with all proceeds from registration fees donated to hurricane relief funds.

Coloradans compete in national tennis meet

Local tennis players will compete for a national title at the USA League Tennis 5.0 Adult National Championships in Palm Springs, Calif.

Tia Herrick, Jill Vanderkooi and Amber Farnsworth of Englewood; Nancy Curran of Golden; Christin Jacob from Highlands Ranch; Andrea Wallace from Windsor; Erin Sweeney of Denver; Grete Humbert Mortley of Conifer; and Alana Smith of Aurora will compete in the tournament Friday through Sunday to determine the top men’s and women’s teams in the country at the 5.0 level.

Sun Belt honors DU soccer player Grimditch

University of Denver soccer player Lleane Grimditch was named Sun Belt Conference player of the week.

Grimditch scored both goals in the Pioneers’ 2-0 win over Pittsburgh and added two more in Denver’s 4-2 win over Detroit.
