The University of Denver’s Adam Holmstrom was the big winner Sunday in the Denver Invitational tennis tournament. Holmstrom defeated Shannon Buck of Air Force 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 for the Flight A singles title and teamed with Niklas Persson for the doubles title with an 8-4 win over Daniel Andrus and Francois VanderMerwe of Arizona.
Dixon’s hat trick sparks Mines soccer victory
Colorado School of Mines senior forward Mike Dixon scored a hat trick in the first 30 minutes of the Orediggers’ 9-0 victory over Johnson and Wales at Brooks Field. Freshman forward Nao Lee of Thornton added two goals and an assist.
