The Rockies begin their final road trip of the season tonight with rookie Mike Esposito (0-1, 5.40) on the mound in Atlanta. Esposito made his major-league debut Wednesday, taking the loss in San Diego’s 5-2 victory over Colorado. Esposito, who turns 24 on Tuesday, showed decent command in five innings, but got roughed up with seven hits.
As the Braves tune up for the postseason, Horacio Ramirez (11-9, 4.69) is trying to get back on track. He’s 0-1 in his past four starts with a 6.23 ERA. However, he’s been tough at Turner Field this season, where he’s 8-1 with a 3.51 ERA.
