Megan DePumpo is a senior in the International Baccalaureate program at Littleton High School.
Megan traveled to Washington, D.C., as a student representative for a 2004 Congressional Youth Leadership conference. She attended a mock senatorial and political forum that included interaction with members of both the Senate and the House, while they debated and voted on issues, set agendas and enacted laws.
Megan also has traveled to Bemidji, Minn., to attend Concordia Spanish Village, a month-long program for children from around the world for immersion in language and culture.
Besides her International Baccalaureate courses, Megan has taken Advanced Placement classes, including Spanish and calculus. Megan has a 4.3 grade-point average.
She was the school newspaper’s page and photo editor, a reporter and a graphic designer.
Megan has run cross country and played lacrosse, both for four years. Last year, she played forward/center on the lacrosse team and was its most valuable player.
Megan is the Mayor’s Youth Commission chairwoman for the city of Denver.
