HIGH OCTANE
Cadillac cruising
Tampa Bay’s Cadillac Williams keeps rolling, picking up 158 yards against Green Bay. He became the first rookie to open with three 100-yard games and broke Alan Ameche’s 50-year-old record for most yards in the first three games. Williams has gained 434 yards to Ameche’s 410.

MILESTONE
Colts’ dynamic duo
Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison broke the NFL record for most career yards passing between a quarterback and receiver on a 16-yard play in the fourth quarter against Cleveland. The duo entered the game needing 24 yards to pass Buffalo’s Jim Kelly and Andre Reed. Manning and Harrison connected six times for 53 yards, giving them 717 completions and 9,568 yards – both NFL records. “It’s always good when you can stick with one quarterback and one team. You know each other’s ins and outs,” Harrison said.

QUICK TURNAROUND
Alexander the great
Seattle running back Shaun Alexander scored two of his four touchdowns in a 30-second span as the Seahawks rolled past Arizona 37-12. Alexander finished with 140 yards, the 24th 100-yard game of his career, tying him with Chris Warren for most in team history.
GAME OF THE DAY II
Jets QBs grounded
While the Steelers and Patriots battled toe-to-toe, the New York Jets battled back with an injured quarterback, only to be outdone by Jacksonville in overtime. The Jags, with Byron Leftwich running the show, picked up a 26-20 victory after the Jets had to pick Chad Pennington and Jay Fiedler up off the turf. Pennington – who left in the third quarter with a shoulder injury and returned after Fiedler was knocked out – guided the Jets to a game-tying drive. But Leftwich outdid his fellow Marshall alum in overtime for the win.
