An administrative law judge has fined the campaign committee that advertised for a Democratic state representative last year $36,000.
The judge said the Alliance for Colorado Families acted as a political committee when it ran a radio ad against GOP candidate Kent Lambert and for Rep. Michael Merrifield of Manitou Springs. ACF became a political committee when it ran the ad, the judge ruled.
