Byung-Hyun Kim (5-11, 4.87 ERA) drops hints, but stops short of a commitment. He likes Colorado, wants to come back, but this start could be it for him in a Rockies uniform. Kim’s statistics suggest a soft market for his services, but dig deeper and there could be interest. Kim has allowed three runs or fewer in 14 of his 21 starts. Similar pitchers in his position last year earned one-year contracts starting at $2 million. Kris Benson (9-8, 4.20) riled GMs when years of underachieving earned him a $21 million contract. Benson has won just three times since the all-star break.
