Arvada – John Fink threw three touchdown passes Saturday and C.J. Gillman added a 90-yard interception return as Columbine blasted Standley Lake 57-8 in the Class 5A Jefferson County League.
Columbine improved to 6-1, 2-1 in league. Standley Lake is 1-6, 0-2.
George Washington 50, South 14
Three touchdowns by Joe Harris propelled the Patriots (4-3, 4-0) past the Rebels (1-6, 1-3) in the DPL.
Darius Reed also threw a 43-yard scoring pass for GW.
North 23, Abraham Lincoln 19
Jake Trujillo’s two touchdowns in the fourth quarter rallied the Vikings (2-5, 2-2) past the Lancers (1-6, 0-4) in Denver Prep League play at All-City Stadium. Trujillo ran 20 times for 106 yards.
Montbello 48, John F. Kennedy 0
Chris Smith threw three touchdown passes, two to Andrew Davis, as the Warriors (5-2, 4-0) remained in a three-way tie for the DPL lead with Thomas Jefferson and George Washington.
In whipping the Commanders (2-5, 2-2), Davis had three receptions for 116 yards and Smith threw for 233 yards, including a 60-yard score to R.J. Sanders.
Lakewood 56, Arvada 21
Lakewood -Thomas Platten threw for 193 yards and ran 13 times for 100 yards and three touchdowns as the Tigers (4-3, 3-2) ripped the Reds (0-8, 0-6) in the 4A Mountain Plains League.
Lakewood led 21-0 at halftime, 35-7 after three quarters.
Woodlin 94, Pawnee 69
Grover – Harold Klausner had a hand in 13 touchdowns as the Mustangs and Coyotes all but blew out the lights Friday night in recording the second-most points in Colorado history.
Competing in 6-man, Woodlin quarterback Harold Klausner had a good month in one game – he ran 33 times for 301 yards and seven touchdowns, and was 19-of-35 passing for 402 yards and six touchdowns.
Woodlin got the ball last in the game, with 30 seconds to play, and knelt.
Of course, the crowd booed.
