UQM Technologies Inc. of Frederick announced Thursday it has been named to the KLD Global Climate 100 Index, the first global index focused on solutions to climate change. The index was created by KLD Research & Analytics Inc. in response to growing demand from institutions and individuals for investment strategies that address global warming.

Hach Homeland Security Technologies‘ division in Loveland announced Thursday that its Event Monitor Trigger System has been recognized as one of the 100 most technologically significant new products of 2005 by R&D Magazine. The technology can detect, assess and categorize any water-quality deviation in a distribution system.
