Phil Keating is coming home to Fox 31 News. Almost.
The former Denver newsman, who almost retired the best hair on TV personality award from Westword, has taken a job as a correspondent for Geraldo Rivera’s new show, “Geraldo at Large.” Keating will be seen covering national stories for the mustachioed gadabout about four times week. It’ll air in Denver at 10 p.m. weeknights on KDVR-Channel 31.
“I’ll be a road warrior,” says Keating, who had been working for cable’s Fox News Channel. “I’ll be living in hotel rooms in a different city Monday through Friday. Now I’m in my new apartment in Boston surrounded by unpacked boxes. I don’t know where I’ll be moving to. And I have to sell my car. And my house in Denver. Take my house, please.”
The show debuts nationally on Oct. 31. Stay tuned.
Meet-a-Dita
Put it on. Put it all on.
That’s what they’ll be screaming at Dita Von Teese when she returns to the Diamond Cabaret on Nov. 10.
The pinup burlesque queen will perform that night in a 12-foot-long, glass bathtub. When she gets out of it, two French maids help her get dressed. It’s a reverse striptease – and she’s famous for it.
Von Teese, the fiancée of Marilyn Manson, will also host a $75 dinner before the show at the club’s steakhouse.
“She’s beyond huge,” says DC spokesman Mani Isler, who compares the show to the thrilling days of yesteryear in Denver with the likes of Tempest Storm, Evelyn “$50,000 Treasure Chest” West and dinner at The Tropics nightclub.
The Luxe life
Marco Colantonio at Steak au Poivre shuts down the bar this week to make it a separate club, Bar Luxe, a lounge catering to the younger set. It’ll open in mid-November. Look for a LoDo-esque martini bar with a French twist.
