The return of Lounge!

It’s been a long time since we rock and rolled.

(Cue guitar solo.)

Lounge returns this evening — after a long summer of loneliness, all drones of the creative industry (writers, designers, photographers, producers, what have you) and anyone else who cares to join them will flock to The Lounge (get it? Lounge at Lounge?) on Colfax this evening to do nothing but knock back a few and shoot the sh…schtuff.

Been a long time been a long time been a long lonely lonely lonely lonely time.

See you there!

You know you want to.

Awwww, still sad about the unavoidable doom that was the shutting down of the Shamrock on Broadway?

Don’t cry, little one. It may not be decored with unmatching chairs and more pairs of Chuck Taylors at which you can shake a stick, but it does still boast an Irish flare.

While the antiquing of the walls is faux, their clientele is not — the Irish Rover on Broadway is gaining momentum as a cozy tavern host to the working class and Broadway trolls alike.

And if you need further convincing, they boast a decent menu with, get this: fried macaroni and cheese.

I had no idea this was an Irish meal. But I don’t care. Their friendly staff makes up for their lack of authentic fare.

What: The Irish Rover

Where: 54 South Broadway
